an open story (unlimited)

This is a story open for anyone to add to. There is no limit to the number of words you made use.

The IKV K'Tang had just returned to the Klingon Homeworld. Looking into the viewscreen the planet was dark, but that was nothing new. Since thye moon Praxis exploded the homeworld was using less than normal energy and because of that the cities lights were dimmed shortly after sunset.

Captain L'kor of the house of YoT had been looking forward returning home for months now. She had received orders to return to Qo'noS to be briefed on a top secret mission.

Her helmsman announced "We have obtained orbit sir."

L’kor answered, "Good. Prepare to transport me to these coordinates." L’kor inputted the coordinates she received from the Chancellor into the nearest console. Finally she sped off to the transporter room.

The coordinates had been layed in and the the red glow envloped her as she stepped onto the pad. When she materialized she looked for a familiar face but only saw the tortured faces of warriors who had not died honorable deaths.
"I am not dead," she screamed.
"If you are not dead what are you doing here," a guard asked as his glove slapped across her face.

Is she dead and finds herself headed for Gre'thor, the afterlife for dishonored Klingons, or has she been taken captive by Romulans and is in a chamber of torture?

      I don't know, why don't you decide?

Looking around she sees spirits of Klingons centuries dead, wandering around, blicd to everything around them. Before her a large figure stand between her and the setting sun. As he turns she sees that it is Kahless. "Sto-vo-kor was a lie," he shouts.

She could not believe her ears. Was that really Kahless? It could not be. This must be a Romulan trick. She decided that she would teach those Romulans a lesson and kill this petaQ. She screamed "petaQ!" as she rushed Kahless as she drove the knife into his chest.

"You cannot kill me you little fool" he said as he pulled the dagger from his chest and slashed her cheek with the blade. "We are already dead." He grabed her by the throat and lifted her from the deck. "You were not worthy in life. Why should it be different here?"

She growled but said nothing. Kahless finally released her and swore "petaQ!" He informed her, "Sto-vo-kor is a fairy tale told to children by their parents so they will obey them. It does not exist."

L'kor still didn't believe the man before her. She had seen what the Romulans could do to extract information from a prisoner. This "little afterlife" was not out side their bounds. She knew that the real Kahless would sooner cut off his own head then spout this garbage.. Part of her wanted to rip this petaQ's head off but decided to wait and see what happens.

The ship approched a vessel, riddled with disruptor blasts and the hull blown open in a hole that covered half the side of the ship. She stood, her eyes locked on the ship. One by one the crew crossed over and were immediately thrown to the deck. As is tradition the Ra'wI was the last to leave. Kahless wlaked over and sliced the warrior in half. "You do not belong here," Kahless said as his boot kicked the body over the side.

L'kor grunted but said nothing. She pretended to be uninterested by Kahless's behavior. She was, of course, not shocked by his behavior. It was extactly as she expected it to be. That was the trouble, it was too much like what she heard that Kahless The Unforgettable was like. It was like someone read every Klingon folk tale ever created then created this fantasy. Something didn't smell right . . .

L'kor watched as Kahless joined his new compainions. He wrapped an arm around two of the warriors then guided them to a nearby table where food and drink was waiting for them. They sat down then began to drink and sing.

After a minute or two, Kahless called out to her, "L'kor please join us!"
                  • This is the maximum depth. Additional responses will not be threaded.

"L'kor, T'ral, BiH'kol come here and join me," Kahless said. "You are new here and have not made alliances yet. I need young warriors to take control of this ship.
"Why would he have to take over the ship," L'kor thought.
Without another word from L'kor Kahless answered as if he had heard. "I am going to take the warriors on this ship back to the Empire so I can claim my rightfull throne."
